Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Throughout April, I’ll be walking 100 miles in total with my baby in the pushchair and our dog, to raise money for Action for Children.
Since becoming a parent, I’ve been overwhelmed with the love I feel for my baby. But it has also made me think a lot about other, more unfortunate children. How important a safe and supportive start in life is for every child.
Through my work as a mental health nurse and hospital manager, I’ve also seen how difficult childhood experiences can affect people later in life. It often makes me reflect on how different things might have been if the right support had been there earlier.
That’s why I’ve decided to take on this challenge called “100 Pushchair Miles for a Stronger Start.” Throughout April I’ll be walking 100 miles with my baby in the pram, who will be 18 weeks old when I start this mission.
I would like to raise £250 to support vulnerable babies, children and families across the UK.
Every mile we walk is a reminder of how important those early steps in life are.
If you’re able to support the challenge, any donation (big or small) would mean a huge amount.
