In April this year, I will be taking on my first running challenge for a while by taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon. I decided to raise some money in support of the Skye High foundation which was set up to support families during and after the loss of a twin, triplet or multiples. A purple butterfly card was created to be placed in an incubator or cot in memory of their sibling which allows the families the opportunity to make others around them be aware of the situation they are in and to be sensitive of the journey they are on. I personally have not suffered this type of loss but the charity was set up by a very inspirational friend and so I am running in support of the tenacity, courage and hard work that she carries out on a daily basis to keep the charity growing year on year.
