Story
I’m taking on a 1km open water swim for Thames Hospice, and it’s one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done.
My partner, Frankie, was diagnosed with incurable brain cancer in October 2025. Swimming has always been a huge part of his life — for over 30 years he swam every single day. It’s where he found peace, strength and joy. This swim is for him.
It’s my way of honouring something he loves so deeply, while raising money for Thames Hospice — an incredible charity supporting people and families through the hardest moments imaginable. Their care, compassion, and dignity mean everything.
I’m not a lifelong swimmer like Frankie and I can't do the front crawl like him! but I’m determined to do this in a way that would make him proud.
If you’re able to donate or share, it would mean so much to both of us. Every contribution helps support the amazing work Thames Hospice does every day.
Thank you ❤️
