Story
I have joined #TeamRedCross to enable a world where the most vulnerable communities – particularly women and girls – are resilient to the effects of climate change and empowered to build a more sustainable future for themselves.
As MS Amlin’s official charity partner, we have been working together with the British Red Cross to fund a female empowerment programme in collaboration with the Bangladesh Red Crescent to reduce the vulnerability of women and young people to climate related disasters and support them to adapt to climate change. Unfortunately, as we so often know, women and girls in Bangladesh often suffer disproportionately when weather-related disasters strike, due to their social and economic status.
By running in the 2025 London Marathon, I am seeking to further support this programme which will help women and their wider communities in Narayanganj to prepare for, deal with, and recover from climate-related disasters, including through livelihood support. Any donation you give, no matter how small, will have a positive impact. Together, with your support, we are the world’s emergency responders.
Donations received by the British Red Cross as part of MS Amlin’s partnership will be used in support of the Bangladesh Narayanganj Resilience Project. In the unlikely event there are surplus funds which are not required for this project, these may be used for other British Red Cross Society activity in the U.K. and / or internationally at their discretion.
