Story
In 2025, I’m taking on a big challenge: 12 marathons in 12 months — one each month of the year — all in support of a very worthy cause: Harry’s Rainbow, the only Milton Keynes-based charity providing vital support to bereaved children and their families.
Harry’s Rainbow has been chosen as Charity of the Year by Jane Smith Financial Planning, and we’re proud to be backing their work through awareness and fundraising.
💙 Why Now?
This November, Children’s Grief Awareness Week (17–23 November) will see Harry’s Rainbow aim to create a rainbow across Milton Keynes, bringing attention to the needs of children dealing with the loss of a parent or sibling.
That same week also marks a personal milestone for me — I turn 50!
To celebrate, I’m asking for donations instead of gifts. Your support will not only mark my big birthday but also help children facing some of life’s toughest challenges.
🏃♀️ The Challenge
12 marathons
12 months
1 great cause
Each month in 2025, I’ll be walking a full marathon distance — through all weathers, with plenty of determination — to raise funds and awareness for Harry’s Rainbow and the children they support.
💖 How You Can Help
Your donation will help Harry’s Rainbow to:
Support children and young people after the death of a parent or sibling
Provide memory boxes, group activities, and ongoing emotional support
Raise awareness during Children’s Grief Awareness Week and beyond
Every penny counts. Please consider supporting this campaign — whether it’s to celebrate a milestone birthday, champion a brilliant local charity, or simply cheer me on in this year-long trek!
Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s help create a rainbow across MK — and bring hope to children who need it most. 🌈
