We are out to conquer our fears by jumping from an aeroplane over the beautiful Cornish coastline. This is one of the stranger side-effects of the menopause for Nicola and Ed is just a nice guy that won't let his mum do it alone!
But we also want to lend a hand to those whose fears are daily and all too real because of the impact of climate change on their livelihoods; people around the world who continue to find hope with the help of Practical Action.
Our dad and grandad founded Practical Action saying: "The best aid to give is... a gift of useful knowledge. A gift of knowledge is infinitely preferable to a gift of material things." As a teacher myself, I know this to be so true.

HELP FARMERS LIKE ALFRED BEAT POVERTY
Families in Gwanda are struggling to feed themselves from the food they grow on their farmland. Because of climate change, devastating droughts and flooding have become more frequent in the region. Crops fail and people have to rely on food aid to fend off starvation.
Alfred is a 61 year-old farmer who lives in Gwanda. A clever combination of inexpensive solutions have helped him and his grandchildren beat poverty.
