13 Tors Trek 2024 · 6 October 2024 ·
Our team of family members and friends will walk together across Dartmoor on 6th October 2024 in memory of Lynette Beard 17.05.1966 - 11.05.2023. Lyn was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of March 23. She fought cancer bravely, accepting gracefully and selflessly her prognosis. Lynette was inspirational, she was full of fun in all aspects of her life. A wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, teacher and precious friend. The 13 Tor Trek is a perfect way to continue to celebrate a very special lady who gave so much. Lynette was brought up local to Dartmoor herself, along with her siblings, so Widecombe-in-the Moor is a truly fitting place to start and end the walk. Of course there are other places on the route of special significance to the family too. Lynette would especially have encouraged the celebratory ‘cream tea’ at the end of the hike!
Team CLOUD OF BLACKBIRDS are pleased to collectively support Marie Curie in raising vital funds that will go some way to support other families experiencing cancer in their lives. Thank you to all of our supporters and for those of you who have donated to the cause.
Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone. And we push for a better end of life for all by campaigning and sharing research to change the system.
Marie Curie is a charity working across the UK and we need your support to do our vital work.
