This year I promised myself I would say YES to things that scare me.

So in July… I’ll be jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet.

But this isn’t about adrenaline. It’s not about ticking something off a bucket list.

This jump is for something far bigger than me.

I’m doing this for my best friend’s family.

For Josh — her much-loved nephew who was taken far too soon by Cystic Fibrosis. His loss is heartbreaking, and his memory deserves to be honoured in a way that makes a real difference.

And for her incredible nephew who is still living with Cystic Fibrosis and fighting every single day like a true champion. The strength, resilience and courage he shows daily is beyond inspiring. CF is relentless — it affects every breath, every day — and yet he keeps showing up and battling it head on.

Cystic Fibrosis impacts not just the person diagnosed, but the entire family. It changes lives. It takes too much. And although treatments have improved, there is still no cure.

So in July, I’ll be stepping completely out of my comfort zone (and out of a plane 😅) to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis — in memory of Josh and in support of my best friend’s brave nephew who continues to fight.

Why cystic fibrosis?

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 11,000 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting their physical health, mental wellbeing and how they choose to live their lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.
