In Southampton, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 children experience domestic abuse.

At Stop Domestic Abuse we want to change that. Were here to help all those affected by domestic abuse; we ensure that victims are supported to recover, and perpetrators are supported to change their behaviour.

Victims urgently need refuge support. Our refuges offer more than just somewhere to stay. We provide a homely, supportive and nurturing environment where victims can recover from the trauma of domestic abuse and begin to rebuild their lives. The pandemic placed a strain on safe accommodation for women and children. It's now more important than ever to make sure there are specialist refuges for families who have made the incredibly hard decision to leave their home to find safety.

If it wasn't for Stop Domestic Abuse I wouldn't be here today. I felt like my life was ruined but now I have hope for our future.

In 2022, we are opening two new refuges in Southampton which we are raising funds for.
