Story
On 12th April I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon, in aid of my chosen charity Marie Curie Cancer Care. I will be running in memory of my beloved mum who died on 8th April 2008 from breast cancer. She was only 63 years old and had been in remission for 5 years.
On the night she passed away, we were incredibly fortunate to have a Marie Curie nurse with us at home. It is hard to put into words what a difference that made to our family. The compassion and care Janet showed to Mum, and us, is something that I will never forget. She made things that little more bearable at a time of great sadness and pain.
Since then I have wanted to show our gratitude to Marie Curie. It has only taken me 18 years to find the resolve and time to embark upon this challenge! If you are able make any donation, no matter how small, I would be incredibly grateful. Any contribution would make such a difference to such an important charity. Thank you. x
