Martin House provides compassionate support to children and young people with life‑limiting conditions, as well as their families, across West, North and East Yorkshire. Their vision is for every child and young person to have access to palliative care whenever and wherever they need it.

I’m taking part in this event in loving memory of my brother, whose life was tragically cut short in Roundhay in 2005. He was a young man himself, and I know he would have supported this cause with all his heart.

Last year’s event was cancelled, but through my Facebook fundraiser we still managed to raise £200. My brother’s name appeared in the newspaper, and the event gained publicity around water safety.
