Story
In September 2025, my life changed overnight when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). At my lowest point, I was wheelchair-bound and unable to use my hands. It was a frightening and uncertain time, and something I never imagined I’d have to face.
But with the incredible love, patience, and support of my family and friends, things slowly started to improve. Step by step, I’ve regained movement, strength, and independence. Today, I’m proud to say that I’m walking again, not far unassisted just yet, but further than I ever thought possible and I’ve regained much better use of my hands.
It’s been a long, challenging road, and I know I still have a long way to go, but every bit of progress means everything.
That’s why I’ve decided to give something back.
In June, I’ll be attempting to walk a 5K event in Birmingham, something that would have felt completely impossible just months ago. I won’t be doing it alone, I’ll be supported every step of the way by my family and the wonderful Hokey Pokey Planners , who have been there for me through everything.
I’m raising money for MS charities to help fund vital research, provide support for others living with MS, and raise awareness of this condition that affects so many lives.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me. Your support will not only help these incredible charities continue their work but will also keep me motivated as I take on this challenge.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story, for your support, and for being part of this journey with me.
