On November 25th 2023, we found out our baby Aila would be born sleeping. In the days that followed, we were able to spend precious moments together, creating memories that we will carry with us forever. We are deeply grateful to Sands for providing us with the care, support, and guidance we needed during such an incredibly difficult time, and to the amazing staff at BGH for their compassion and kindness. Their support made all the difference, and we are forever thankful.

on the 10th of May, I will be completing the Snowdon by Night Hike to raise money so every bereaved parents and families can continue to receive the same support we did.

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
