Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
From April 19th – 25th, Kate and Moff have set themselves the challenge of walking the West Highland Way, this walk is ONLY 96 miles over 6 days. Thankfully 4 friends have been mad enough to agree to walk with them, with an added support team of 2 others carrying their essentials and luggage from each point. They are hoping to raise funds for Kidney Kids Scotland, a non- funded charity which supports children with renal and urology conditions and their families when they need it most, from providing:
home haemodialysis machines with a funded nurse – which offers flexibility in when and how often to dialyse, ability to participate in the busy family life, patients have more positive effects physically and emotionally, improved quality of life and more positive clinical outcomes.
family weekends & the big kidney kid weekends – where families learn and share about the conditions and challenges they face on a daily basis and allow them to be “just a family” connecting with others who are facing or have encountered similar experiences.
As a family we have had first hand experience of the positive effect they can have on these families. Chronic kidney disease in children has no cure so any funds raised will go to helping them to continue this great work.
From all participating, thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope you can make a donation to this worthy cause, regardless of the amount. To pinch a certain quote “every little helps”
