I'm taking a stroll across hot coal in KEMP Hospice's Firewalk challenge 2024!
This year has been about me doing things I’ve never done and a firewalk is on my list.
Each step I take and penny I raise will help support people in the Wyre Forest and surrounding community facing progressive life-limiting illnesses and the challenges of bereavement.
It takes around £1.7m every year for KEMP to provide their services, with only 15% of their funding coming from the NHS. KEMP relies on the support of its generous community to ensure it can provide it's services to everyone who needs them, completely free of charge, now and in the future.
£150 could pay for one of KEMP's palliative care nurses for a whole day. KEMP's specialist nurses go beyond symptom and pain control; they offer a compassionate ear and stand as allies, supporting their patients through the physical and emotional challenges of their journey.
