Hull Neonatal Intensive Care Unit cares for over 500 premature babies; some stay for hours or days, whilst others stay for weeks and months. Hull is one of four Level 3 NICUs within the Yorkshire and Humber region, caring for babies from 22 weeks gestation, offering specialist intensive care for babies locally and across the country.

Funds we raise will enhance the unit for the benefit of premature babies and their families by providing those important added extras above and beyond what the NHS can achieve alone. Together, we can help make a real difference to parents.

Our loved one, Lucy North, was a neonatal nurse on this ward. Making a difference in these families' lives was something that was close to her heart. Lucy tragically lost her life in 2025; we are riding in memory of her and raising money for the ward that meant so much to her.

We will ride from Workington in the North West to Tynemouth in the North East, covering 117 miles (188km) and over 4,000ft (1226m) in elevation in a single ride.
