Story
My cycling prowess is more Lime and Forest Bikes than Lycra and road bikes, but this is such an awesome charity I’d thought I’d throw caution into the wind and give it my best shot. Read about the amazing people at Purple Elephant below and anything you can do to help would be amazing.
Today, more children than ever are struggling emotionally, and 1 in 5 now have a mental health concern. That's equal to six children in every classroom. With NHS services under huge strain, long waiting lists for support and private therapy out of reach for most families, we have seen a huge increase in need for our services.
The Purple Elephant Project are helping bridge the gap in children's mental health support across South West London and believe that every child deserves the right to be heard, whatever their financial situation. They need vital funding more than ever, so I will be cycling the average life span of an elephant on September 13th, so that they can give more children the confidence, resilience and coping skills to transform their lives and reach their full potential.
