Each year the community in Nidderdale, together with the local Churches, pack and send over 250 shoeboxes to children around the world, who would otherwise have no Christmas gifts. We do this in partnership with Operation Christmas Child.

If you would like to get involved, just collect a shoebox from your local church and a leaflet explaining what to put into it. We would also welcome donations of individual items, and of money to pay towards the charity transporting the boxes to children in Easter Europe and Africa. Each box costs £5 to transport, so we need to raise over £1250 each year to cover the costs.

Filled shoeboxes and other donations can be dropped off at the church you collected your box from or at Summerbridge Methodist Church (Wednesday or Sunday Morning) before 26th October. In addition there will be collection points open in the Summerbridge Methodist Church entrance on:
