Story
On the 31st of May 2026, I will be doing a skydive in loving memory of my beautiful Gran.
Many who know me, know my gran and how much she meant to me. She was purely the heart and soul to our family and truly our greatest loss.
In my grans later years, she was unfortunately diagnosed with dementia, this was devastating as a family seeing our gran fall unwell and learning to navigate this new reality as a family was extremely difficult. No matter the struggles we faced our gran was our priority and we done anything we could to help understand her illness and be able to comfort her. No matter what my gran was going through she somehow always had a smile on her face which I’m sure is what kept us all strong.
If my grans diagnosis taught me anything it would definitely be, that life’s to short and to never take anything for granted. This is why I’ve chosen to take on the challenge of a Sky Dive, to honour my Gran but also Support Dementia Uk, and give back to all they do to support families and individuals that experienced the same pain we did.
This is all for my Gran, and to support the families still navigating through this Journey.
If you are able, please consider showing your support by sponsoring me. Every donation no matter the size makes a difference in providing specialist support and care for those living with dementia and their loved ones.
Thank you so much, this means the world and more!
This one’s for you gran 🤟🏼🤍
