Cookie's Cornish Coastal Challenge

Nigel Cook is raising money for PROSTATE CANCER UK

Cornish Coastal Challenge

1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. At Prostate Cancer UK, we’re giving every man the power to navigate it. With over £100 million invested in research, treatment, and care, we’re building a future where prostate cancer no longer cuts men’s lives short. Together, we can help save men’s lives.

Story

To raise awareness for prostate cancer, I am embarking on a walking challenge along the Cornish coast. Over 11 days, I plan to walk as far as I can solo and unsupported, starting in Plymouth and making my way to Newquay along the beautiful Cornish coastal path.

Last year, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer after experiencing no symptoms. Thanks to a family history and regular check-ups, my condition was caught early, and I am grateful for a good prognosis. However, I am deeply passionate about advocating for a formal prostate cancer screening process in the UK for men over 50.

Any support or donations to this worthwhile charity would mean a lot to me and help raise awareness about the importance of early detection.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support.

Best wishes,

Nigel
