The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

A karate kata is a series of set attacks and defences against an imaginary opponent, or opponents.

And on 08 June I’ll be doing 50 in a row.

Why? Because Blackwater Valley Shotokan Karate Club is raising money for the National Autistic Society. It's to support their great work and show solidarity with one of our most dedicated students.

It's a fitting way to celebrate the club's 20th anniversary too.

There are 26 Shotokan karate style katas in total, and on the day I might do a mix including Hangetsu, Bassai Dai, Jion, Gojushiho-Sho, Meikyo...

Or one called Wankan, 50 times over.

Either way, it's a tough challenge.

So I'd really appreciate your generous support.

Thanks in advance and wish me luck!
