St. David's Hospice Care provides free community-based hospice care to people with cancer or any other life threatening illness living in Gwent and Mid/South Powys. Your donations help us to provide the services that give patients a real choice about where they spend their final days.

Story

Between February 2025 and October 2025 I will be attempted 4 challenges/ hikes / climbs

February 2025 - climbing a series of frozen waterfalls in Rjukan, Norway as ice climbs (axes and crampons).

April 2025 - Selvaggio Blu in Sardinia “the worlds toughest trek” with 4200m of climb/ vertical gain, 5 abseils and 2 via ferratas over five days

September 2025 - Mount Roraima, the lost world plateau the highest of the Pacaraima chain of tepuis (table-top mountains) in South America bordering Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana

October 2025 - Mount Kilimanjaro, which will be my 3rd ascent and summit of the highest free standing mounting in the world and the roof of Africa.

The challenges are to support St Davids Hospice. Hospice care offers reassurance of round-the-clock expert care, in a friendly, welcoming environment for those who are living through a life limiting illness.

From managing someone's pain, to looking after their emotional, spiritual and social needs, hospice care supports the whole person, helping them to live their life to the full.
