Story
Six years ago or so I experienced what I could only explain as a full meltdown.
I was living by myself, my moods were swinging violently and I really couldn't explain why I felt so bad sometimes and so great at others. I got into a few relationships that made me feel better only to bring them crashing down around me as I couldn't cope with them.
After finally realising I needed some help I got in contact with Devon Mind, who, after half an hour of me sat in front of a counsellor talking and sobbing like a baby, started to make me feel better.
After a reasonably short period of time, the sessions made me realise why I was struggling and how I could cope with things going forward and I really haven't looked back since then.
I firmly believe Devon Mind was instrumental in saving me and as they are funded through charity I wanted to do something for them to repay the help they gave me.
That thing is running from Ilfracombe harbour on the North Devon coast, to Plymouth Sound on the South Devon coast in 3 days. It's a total of 99 miles along the mostly traffic free Tarka Trail, Granite Way and Drake's Trail taking in estuaries, beaches, valleys and the Western flank of Dartmoor.
Is it gonna hurt?
Yeah.
Are you daft trying it?
Yeah, but I do like a challenge, and worst comes to the worst, I can walk...or crawl!
I am planning on doing this over the weekend of 11th to 13th September and any sponsorship will be greatly received.
