Story

It is extremely unusual for an organisation to work in this completely integrated way. Equal People Performing Arts strives to pioneer this approach across a wide age and ability range.

The charity aims to advance fully inclusive education in the Performing Arts for all children, young people and adults both disabled and non-disabled or who are disadvantaged. It also provides workshops and activities in the Performing Arts in order to assist with their integration into the wider community (please make sure you view this Inspirational Video)

The London Marathon has always been on my bucket list, so what an amazing opportunity this is to run on behalf of Equal People Performing Arts Charity (EPPA). What makes this even more special for me is I am member of the EPPA Fundraising team and also a newly appointed Trustee. Maintaining the building costs and rent with these fully inclusive performing art studios, which promote Diversity and Equality and create a space for Children and Adults with special needs, it was a no brainer for me to say YES! πŸŽπŸŽ—οΈ

Another key factor and close connection, which makes this so special is my youngest daughter Izzy attended the Mushroom Theatre Company, who is the lead provider for EPPA. She started at the age of 18 months and thanks to Penni Bubb and her wonderful team, Izzy is now currently having a successful time at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) University πŸŽ“πŸ©°πŸ’ƒ

I am a novice when it comes to running long distances and have previously only run 10km at the gym. However this year I ran my first Southend Park run (5km) and then competed in the Southend Half Marathon. My wife then joked β€˜The London Marathon next’! Completing the Southend Marathon was so inspiring, and fun, which makes it such a fantastic opportunity for me to now run the full distance and compete in the London Marathon. I’m not getting any younger! πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ…πŸ‘Ÿ

I feel so proud and honoured to be running on behalf of EPPA, so your kind support and generosity with sponsoring me will be gratefully appreciated.

**Therefore I will personally match the final total raised on my fundraising page and donate this to EPPA.
