Many of you that know me will know that I’m not a runner, but I’m doing this for our son Olly, who was sadly diagnosed with advanced Hodgkins Lymphoma in February of this year. Olly has already undergone 24 sessions of gruelling chemotherapy which sadly was not successful. His battle now continues with a different form of chemo which will hopefully enable a stem cell transplant. It has already been a long and tough journey for Olly. He’s a fighter, and he continues to show incredible qualities that truly inspire and humble me.

Young Lives vs Cancer is a UK charity that exists to help thousands of young people like Olly who are plagued by this horrible disease. This help includes financial support, emotional support, accommodation for families during treatment, and personal care and support at home.

Young Lives continue to help Olly and us as a family as we face the all-consuming worry and crushing uncertainty that cancer brings.

Until February of this year, we had no appreciation of the horrific impact cancer has on a family when your child is dealt this devastating blow. I’ll be forever grateful if you can help me raise money to fund this incredibly worthwhile charity who for us are making this struggle just a little bit easier to cope with.

Cancer choses its victims randomly. It is a terrifying disease. Please, if you are able, give generously.
