Nigel Best was an integral part of our football club, taking on many roles during his time with us. He was a huge part of ensuring the pavilion we have was built, hence it being named in his honour, and we were devastated when he sadly lost his battle last year.

We couldn't think of a better way to honour Nige than with a fundraising football match. His sons, Sam and Tom, will each lead a team out on Sunday 25 August at Jubilee Field Staplehurst, and the teams will be managed by Nigel's great friends Mick Hooker and Nigel Stewart. We hope that as many people as possible turn out to watch what promises to be a fantastic match (full of former Staplehurst Legends!) and give generously to a cause close to the family's heart.
