In Memory of My Fabulous Mum, Laura ❤️

On Saturday 26th September 2026, I will be taking part in the St Barnabas House Southern Hospice Group’s Night to Remember 2026, completing a 10-mile walk through the night to raise money for St Barnabas Hospice.

I am taking on this challenge in loving memory of my fabulous mum, Laura Pegg, who sadly passed away on 9th August 2026, after spending an incredible 363 days in hospice care.

Those 363 days were some of the hardest days our family has ever faced, but throughout it all, Mum showed incredible strength, courage and love. The hospice became such an important part of Mum’s life and ours, providing not only her with wonderful care, dignity and comfort, but also supporting our whole family through an incredibly difficult time.

Mum was an amazing person who brought so much love, happiness and laughter into our lives. Losing her has left an enormous hole in our family, and there isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t miss her.

Walking 10 miles through the night will undoubtedly be emotional, but every step will be for Mum and for the wonderful people who cared for her during those final 363 days.

I want to give something back to St Barnabas Hospice in Mum’s memory, to help ensure that other families can receive the same incredible care, compassion and support that Mum and our family received.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, would mean the absolute world to me and would be a very special way of remembering Mum.
