Story
Hello,
Those who know me know I’ve been a runner for a long time, so I thought it was finally time to put all those miles to good use.
In July, my mum had a devastating stroke. She is still very unwell and remains in hospital, with a long recovery ahead of her. She’s currently being cared for on Britten Ward at Epsom Hospital, where the team have been absolutely incredible.
So in October, I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for the stroke ward caring for her, and to give something back to the people who have been looking after her through such a difficult time.
I’m fundraising for Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity, which supports patients, families and staff across the hospitals. The money raised helps fund things above and beyond standard NHS provision, including equipment, improved facilities, staff training and extra support for patients and their families.
Anything you can spare, however small, in honour of my mum and the amazing medical staff caring for her would mean so much to me and my family.
Thank you ❤️
