Story
In September 2026, I will be travelling to Bhuj, Gujarat, India with Project Care Volunteering to support a school dedicated to educating children with physical and mental impairments.
This school plays a huge part in the local community as it provides education in a safe and inclusive environment to those children that often face significant barriers to learning. During my time at the school, I shall be assisting with classroom learning and providing support with extracurricular programmes that help develop confidence, independence, and life skills.
I have chosen to volunteer with Project Care because I believe that every child deserves the right to an education and absolutely honoured and humbled to support these less privileged children. I believe I have the skills, and positive attitude to make a meaningful impact on the children at the school in the longer term.
Thank you so much for spending time to read this short statement and I really appreciate your donation. One hundred percent of this donation will be sent directly to the school and put towards helping those in need. Any donation, big or small, or even sharing this page, would mean a great deal and help make a real difference to the children and will help progress their livelihoods in the future.
Project Care Volunteering organises group volunteering trips for university students to schools and colleges for disadvantaged young people in India and Uganda.
The charity was founded in 2022 (and previously associated with another charity from 2012-2022) and has since coordinated 20+ group volunteering trips, raising over £115,000 towards transformational education projects, including sanitation projects and the building of new school infrastructure (such as classrooms, playgrounds, toilets and kitchens).
