Saucony London 10k 2026 · 12 July 2026 ·

Disaster and Trauma Relief mobilises volunteers & funds to provide immediate aid, trauma relief, & long-term development post disaster. IAHV supports immediate material aid & long-term rehabilitation. Taking part in IAHV 10K to support this!

Story

On 12 July, I'll be taking on the Saucony London 10K to raise money for the Disaster and Trauma Relief Initiative (DTRI) by the International Association for Human Values (IAHV).

I'm really looking forward to taking on this challenge, but what makes it even more meaningful is being able to support a charity that is transforming lives around the world.

The Disaster and Trauma Relief Initiative (DTRI) works with communities affected by natural disasters, conflict, displacement, and other humanitarian crises. They provide immediate emergency relief, including essential supplies such as food, clean water, shelter, and medical assistance, helping families survive in the aftermath of devastating events.

What makes DTRI unique is that their support doesn't stop once the immediate crisis has passed. They also deliver trauma relief programmes that help people recover from the emotional and psychological effects of disasters. Through resilience-building workshops, stress-relief techniques, and community-led recovery programmes, they empower individuals to regain hope, rebuild their lives, and support one another. The charity also works with local volunteers and organisations to create sustainable, long-term recovery, ensuring communities are better equipped to face future challenges.

I'm fortunate that running 10K is simply a challenge I've chosen to take on. For many of the people DTRI supports, the challenges they face every day are far greater and completely beyond their control. That's why I'm hoping to raise as much as possible to support this incredible cause.

If you're able to donate, no matter how big or small, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every contribution will help DTRI continue providing life-saving emergency aid, trauma relief, and long-term support to people when they need it most.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting me. Your generosity will make a genuine difference, and I'll be thinking of everyone who has donated as I cross the finish line on 12 July.
