My friend and dental nurse colleague Xyanthe is living with stage 4 bowel cancer and faces 6 months of chemotherapy having had various surgeries already.

I am inspired by her positive attitude and determination. I have to climb Ben Nevis, Sca Fell pike and Snowdon in 24 hours which includes driving times between Scotland, England and Wales. This means, little sleep and climbing and descending in the dark etc. I am raising money for Bowel Cancer Uk. in the hope it makes a difference to others with the diagnosis of bowel Cancer.

They are the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity , funding targeted research, providing expert information and supporting patients and their families. They also educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

Their aim is to stop people dying of bowel cancer.

Xyanthe wants cancer not to be a taboo subject and see us raise as much money as possible to help save lives in the future.
