10 years ago, after completing my first ever half-marathon, I swore I’d never run one again! This time feels different though. It’s not just about getting these little legs round 13.1 miles, it’s about something much bigger than me - a charity in which I really believe (oh, and I happen to work for them too!)

Cheltenham Festivals is a cultural charity that does far more than just put on a good show for the likes of you and me. Their mission is to bring people together through world-class festivals and year-round learning programmes in literature, music, science, and jazz, helping to spark curiosity, creativity, and ambition in people of all ages. Their work doesn’t stop when the stages come down. Throughout the year, Cheltenham Festivals deliver education and outreach programmes in schools and communities, especially focusing on young people who might not otherwise have access to cultural experiences. From inspiring future scientists to nurturing young writers and musicians, they’re all about opening doors that might otherwise stay closed.

While my running efforts and race time might not be an inspiration to many others, hopefully every step I take and every donation you make, will help to fund opportunities for others to discover ideas, creativity, and confidence.
