Story
After last years incredible turn out and money raised. A whopping over £4K! Was achieved 🤩 We want to do it again! Raising awareness and money to help as many people as possible. March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month and the month I was initially diagnosed!
We would like to support a charity that is extremely close to us! Brain tumour research represents just 1.37% of national spend on cancer. At the current rate of spending, it could take 100 years for brain cancer to catch up with developments in other diseases and find a cure.
We would like to do our part once again in raising as much money for a charity that is so important to us and lots of other people.
I am now 4 years without re occurrence (one of the lucky ones) My cancer diagnosis of the aggressive and incurable glioblastoma (grade 4 tumour)
“Every step is strength. Every mile is courage. We run with optimism, even when the road is hard.”
Let's do it again, let's run / walk 5k on the 8th March.
All donations go to @braintumourresearch 💛 One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. It is the only national charity focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Help fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
