Nikkie Baptista is raising money for Orchard Vale Trust

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

In 2025, a determined team of runners will take on the ultimate challenge and run the London Marathon to raise money for Orchard Vale Trust. Their determination and generosity will enhance the lives of people with learning disabilities in Somerset.

Story

I am thrilled to announce that I will be running the London Marathon in 2025 to raise funds for Orchard Vale Trust, a charity that holds a purpose very close to my heart.

Why Orchard Vale Trust Matters to Me.

My youngest son, Hayden, has struggled with learning disabilities almost all his life. Despite being an outstanding artist and sportsman, the complexities of his learning disabilities have greatly impacted his ability to move forward. The lack of acknowledgment and acceptance from society has pulled Hayden back, affecting his mental health and causing ongoing struggles.

Orchard Vale Trust, based in Somerset, is dedicated to supporting adults like Hayden, helping them live life to the fullest. They take a holistic approach to care, providing lifelong homes, community involvement, and day services. Their mission is to empower individuals with learning disabilities, helping them achieve their potential and sharing their achievements with the wider community.

Supporting a Cause Close to My Heart

I want to support Orchard Vale Trust because there are few charities that recognize the seriousness of these health challenges. We need more people to understand and support these incredible individuals, giving them the chance to prove themselves at their own pace and abilities.
