Story
I'm Nik from RedNews.
On Sunday 19th April 2026 I’ll be taking on the Manchester Marathon, tackling 26.2 miles through the streets of Manchester — a challenge I swore I would only ever do once in my life and I’ve been roped into doing it again as it’s for an excellent cause.
I’m running to raise £750 for Manchester Mind, a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart. Mental health affects so many of us, and supporting accessible local services in Manchester is something I truly believe in — especially for fans of Manchester United and the wider community who’ve seen how powerful strong support networks can be.
Every donation — big or small — will help Manchester Mind continue its vital work supporting people’s wellbeing, breaking down stigma and providing help to those who need it most.
Thank you so much for your support ❤️ Let’s make every mile count!
Manchester Mind is an independent, local charity, which supports over 11,000 young people and adults each year. We believe that everyone deserves to be supported in their mental health and we want to make it easier to ask for help. Our charity values the commitment of our staff and volunteers, who work hard to ensure services are delivered in a way that enables people to feel heard and involved. Donations from fantastic supporters make a real difference, so thank you for ensuring we can continue to be there for the people of Manchester.
