Psoriasis is something I never truly understood until it became part of my life. What started as a stressful period and a seemingly simple sore throat ended up triggering something I’d never imagined: psoriasis. I had never heard of it in depth before, and when it hit me, I felt completely lost and confused.

I went from doctor to doctor, trying to understand what was happening to my body. Each visit left me with more questions than answers. Despite my efforts, I never really felt fully heard or understood by the healthcare professionals I turned to. To this day, I still live with psoriasis, and though I've learned to manage it better, the emotional and physical toll it takes is something I continue to navigate.

The hardest part for me has been the effect it’s had on my confidence. There were times when I felt so self-conscious about my skin that I wanted to lock myself away, too embarrassed to face the world. But through it all, my family and friends have been my rock especially my mum and dad.Their amazing support has been the one constant that has kept me going. I truly don’t think I would have made it through this challenging journey without them.

The Psoriasis Association has been instrumental in raising awareness, providing resources, and supporting those like me who live with this condition every day. Every donation will go towards research, support, and education, helping others understand psoriasis better and improving the lives of those affected.
