Story
My husband David, lives with an anaplastic pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma (aPXA). This is an extremely rare brain tumour of which very little is known. There's no specific treatment pathway, it's treated the same as GBM 4, the most deadliest of tumours. Here's a link to some information about aPXA tumours: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9001869/
This will be my second head shave and I hope it will be as successful as the last one! There’s a video!
Please share my page! Your support is very much appreciated, thank you Nina xxx
Here’s how the funds raised can positively impact our vital work:
£15 could pay for a Brainy Bag to comfort a child who has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
£25 could buy 100 glass slides for studying cells and brain tumour samples under a microscope.
£50 could help a researcher purchase materials for testing potential new brain tumour treatments in the lab.
£300 could fund one whole day of world-class, pioneering research into brain tumours!
