Nirmala’s Conquest of Everest

In 2025, Krish and I plan to trek to Everest Base Camp and are fundraising to cover our costs. As we trek, we will be vlogging to all the followers of Nirmala Foundation, promoting diversity and inclusion in everything. 

Our plan is to coincide our trekking with the New Futures Nepal trek, so that we can at least summit the Base Camp together and celebrate our achievements. 

Because of my above-knee amputation, it will take us about 35 Trekking Days: 16 days trekking up, 16 days trekking down, plus 3 extra days for considering health, weather and other unavoidable reasons. 

The cost of our trek will be about GBP £5,000 (USD $6,400) and New Futures Nepal has agreed to fund these if we can match or beat that amount through fundraising.

Please give generously so we can prove to the world that disability does not always need to hold you back. If with your help, we manage to beat the target, New Futures Nepal will use 100% of the surplus to support projects operating in Nepal.

Please be aware that New Futures Nepal's JustGiving account is being utilised in this instance due to a lack of similar services existing in Nepal. Funds of £5,000 will be held by New Futures Nepal (in this instance, New Futures Nepal will be acting as a holding agent for the transfer of funds) until the target has been reached and transferred to Nirmala and Krish through their foundation: the Nirmala Foundation. These funds are to be used solely to cover trekking costs, and transfer of funds is dependent on meeting this target.
