Nishantha Pushpa Kumara's fundraiser for OUR ENVIRONMENT

Farming and saving environment · 31 August 2024
As a farmer from Sri Lanka, my name is "Nishantha Pushpa Kumara Jayasekara". I wanted to beg for your assistance and share with you something that has been plaguing me for a long time.
About fifty acres of desolate forest are located close to my home. This area is home to several kinds of wild animals. Primarily, monkeys live.
The fact that these animals starve to death over the most of the year is my concern. Additionally, these animals harm the farmers' crops when they visit villages in search of food. Afterwards, many more of them perish as a result of the farmers' attacks with air rifles, catapults, etc. The right to life ought to, in my opinion, belong to every living thing on the planet, including humans. As a long-term solution to give these animals, who have an extremely hard life, food, I have been hoping for some time to grow fruit trees on the above property, but I have not been able to accomplish so yet. For those like me, finding the required funds is a really challenging undertaking.
1. Fruit plant transportation, approximately 85 kilometers (170 km round trip) to the Agriculture Department Plant Nursery "Gannorwa".
2. The concerned site is about 2 km from the main road, and human work is required to transport the plants over the steep road.
3. The process of getting the ground ready for planting involves a lot of human labor.
4. Planting and Watering (because the water intake is at the lower region, water needs to be pumped)
5. Taking care of newly planted plants until they develop,
etc.
While people can certainly grow their own food, what about animals? We shall feed the hungry animals by completing the aforementioned assignment. Then there will be less animal damage to the crops of the villagers. Every animal will have a decent place to dwell. There will be a lovely atmosphere in my neighborhood. There will be protection for the earth. Water will be safeguarded. There will be pure air. It is very enjoyable for me and you to be inspired to dedicate our lives to such a noble deed. Isn't that the most precious gift you get in life? This, in my opinion, is humanity.
I'm hoping we can work together to finish the aforementioned task.
I'm grateful.
My name is Jayasekara Nishantha Pushpa Kumara.
