Story
To mark the end of my ongoing treatment for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia I plan to undertake a challenge that combines 2 of my big passions, cycling and Scottish football, to this end I have come up with something that will take place over two days in April. I will cycle between all 12 SPFL Premiership football clubs, starting at Kilmarnock on the first day and concluding at my home team, Aberdeen, on the second day. This event aims to raise awareness and funds for the Friends of Anchor charity, which has played a vital role in my journey to recovery from Leukaemia. The support they provide all cancer patients and their families in the Northeast is truly amazing.
I (and hopefully a few friends) will take on the following route :
Day 1 (Friday 10th April) will be approximately 100 miles from Rugby Park to Easter Road, via St. Mirren Park, Ibrox, Celtic Park, Fir Park, Falkirk Stadium, Almondvale and Tynecastle.
Day 2 will see me complete my journey with a 140 mile route departing from Edinburgh to Dens Park, Tannadice and finishing at Pittodrie, with AFC allowing me access pitchside Half Time of the match versus Hibs on the 11th April.
Your donations will significantly impact the lives of many individuals and families supported by The Friends of Anchor.
Thanks
Neil
