Beacons Way 100k Ultra and Tough Mudder 15k · 22 July 2023

The NKF is a National charity that provides support and information to patients, families and healthcare professionals affected by kidney disease. Our aim is to improve the quality of life and support kidney patients and their families as well as lobby for renal improvements.

Story

Hi all in February this year whilst lying in bed with an injured ankle, I made the decision to take on a couple events to physically and mentally challenge myself.

I will be completing a 15k Tough mudder event on 25th June and a 100k (62 miles) Ultramarathon in the Brecon Beacons National Park on 22nd July 2023.

I have lost two family members in recent years to kidney related illnesses so this cause is something I am more than happy to support however I can.

The Charity run by kidney patients for kidney patients, the charity supports 3.5 million people with Chronic Kidney Disease and 60,000 patients who have end stage kidney failure. The charity also supports Dialysis and Transplanted patients and their carers.
