Hi everyone!

I've been wanting to do a half marathon for quite a while and I couldn't think of a better motivator to get running than raising money for Women's Aid.

Through my work at The Sun I've learnt so much about the imperative work Women's Aid do to help survivors of the most disgusting type of abuse.

Behind the scenes, with the help of my amazing colleagues at work, they are constantly pressuring government to do more to crackdown on domestic abuse.

Their work has made a huge different and lobbying efforts have resulted in millions more crucial funding for vital services.

Police in England and Wales receive 100 calls every hour relating domestic abuse.

Three women are killed every fortnight by a current or ex-partner.

Violence against women and girls is everywhere and every pound raised is a step towards ending this evil for good.

As a feminist and someone incredibly passionate about gender equality and women succeeding amid so many obstacles in work and personal lives, this charity means an incredible amount.

£10 Could fund 1 life-changing conversation between a professional Women's Aid support worker and a survivor of domestic abuse.
