Story
Hello everyone,
My name is Noa‑Rose. When I was nearly 4, I got very, very poorly with something called Meningococcal Type B Meningitis. It changed my whole life. Getting better has been really hard, and I haven’t fully recovered. Now I have epilepsy, tics, and I find it really difficult to remember things or focus. My brain still has seizures when I’m asleep, and I have to do lots of tests so the doctors can help me. School is harder for me now, and I have to take medicine every day.
Sometimes I feel sad or frustrated because things that used to be easy are now really tricky. Meningitis didn’t just make me poorly — it changed the way I live.
But Meningitis Now have been amazing. They’ve helped me and my family so much, and they make me feel like I’m not alone. I want to raise money for them so they can keep helping other children and families like mine.
If you can support me, even with just £1, it would mean so much to me and help me reach my goal. Thank you so much
Meningitis Now is the first meningitis patient group in the world, founders of the meningitis movement and the only charity dedicated to fighting meningitis in the UK. Since 1986 they have invested over £12.7m in early stage research.
The money I raise will help fund vital awareness of the signs and symptoms of the disease (it's not just the glass test!), while supporting further research into meningitis and helping provide everything from counselling to adaptive equipment for those whose lives have been changed forever by meningitis.
