Noah's fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer UK

adidas Manchester Marathon 2024 · 14 April 2024 ·
I am looking forward to challenging myself to complete another marathon. This is a cause close to my heart as, sadly, both my mum’s parents died from pancreatic cancer. My grandpa Sidney, a wonderful English teacher and headmaster, whom I never met, died within months of his diagnosis in 1989. As well as literature, he loved art and music and spent much of his spare time gardening. He was also a lifelong fan of Leeds RL, having played rugby himself as a young man.My grandma Jacqie, an inspirational teacher and headmistress, died in April 2022. She was a true matriarch, a fabulous cook and a warm and caring friend. But in grandma’s case, the investment in research over the intervening years, allowed her to be treated and to live for 7 years after contracting this awful disease. This meant she could share and enrich the lives of her eight grandchildren as well as attending many life events. We all miss her terribly. This is why I'm fundraising for Pancreatic cancer UK who support people with pancreatic cancer now, campaign, and fund vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
