We support families affected by premature birth by advocating increased awareness, improved pre-conceptual and ante-natal education, equitable and standardized neonatal care for all infants and improved long-term care for both the premature baby and the family.

Story

NOCA Charity Partner for Clinical Audit Awareness Week 2025 - INHA

NOCA is commited to patient and public involvement across our organisation. As part of our efforts to recognise the invaluable contribution of our PPI representatives, NOCA invited them to nominate a charity of their choice. The Irish Neonatal Health Alliance (INHA) was randomly selected as the chosen charity, and NOCA will undertake a series of awareness-raising and fundraising activities during Clinical Audit Awareness Week 2025 in support of their work. This initiative forms part of NOCA’s broader goal to give something back to the PPI community that plays such a vital role in our audits and registries.

INHA is the only Irish charity that supports families affected by premature birth - families of babies born too soon, too small and too sick to face the busyness of the world.

They give the voice to these families through their educational, advocacy and research work, they support the families and NICUs themselves and promote awareness of the long term impact of prematurity.

The INHA campaign for the inclusion of parents and the family centered care to be the standard in the NICU units based on research that is scientifically proven and HCPs backed.
