Story
Yes! I am doing it again and asking myself; why, oh why, oh why???
I’m taking on another marathon (yes, another one — I know, I know) in support of my wonderful friend of over 30 years. She’s been living with early‑onset RA for five years, and because it affects her hands, wrists, knees and ankles, her mobility can be heavily impacted.
Through all of this, she has stayed upbeat and stylish, assembling a collection of walking sticks that could double as props in a West End production. I’ve seen her strength and the support around her, and running adidas Manchester Marathon 2026 feels like a small way to celebrate her resilience. If she can face RA with humour and grit, I can certainly face another marathon with… well, mostly grit and a questionable life‑choice.
The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) is here to support all those living with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), empowering them to live their lives to the fullest. Together we can make a difference! Please consider supporting my fundraising goal of £1,000 for NRAS by visiting our website at www.nras.org.uk. Your contribution will help change minds, services & lives for people with RA and JIA.
