Story
This summer we're driving the mongol rally for charity. The rally stretches all the way from Prague to Far East Kazakstan (and hopefully a little detour into Mongolia where the original finish line used to be).
We'll be driving around 20,000km across 16 countries through deserts and mountains up to 4500m above sea level. And the main rule is that the car needs to be tiny and not up for the job.
THE CHARITY:
We're doing this because we need an adventure but also to raise money for Cool Earth. Cool Earth exists to help local communities save the rainforest and fight back the climate crisis.
From their website:
"The most effective way to fight back is to protect the best carbon-storing technology that already exists: rainforest. And the best way to do that? Back, support, and listen to the people living there. Indigenous peoples and local communities have lived in balance with rainforest for thousands of years and are the real rainforest experts. They are people who face extreme injustice whilst living on the front line of the climate crisis."
