This Winter, we are looking at things through a cat's eyes. Cats can’t talk, but they still need someone to listen and understand. Could that someone be you?

Meet Jeffers, who came into our care as a suspected abandoned stray. Jeffers was rescued from a busy road after a kind member of public informed us of his situation and was worried about his safety.

Initially anxious and constantly searching for food, Jeffers found solace in the care and reassurance provided by our amazing volunteers.By giving Jeffers consistency through a set feeding schedule, he was able to learn that food would be available for him and he wouldn't go hungry, which helped lessen his anxiety around meal times

After being fostered, he was described as an amazing big house panther! We are delighted to share that he found his forever home in September. This transformation was made possible by understanding his needs, listening to him and providing a safe and caring environment where he could thrive.

This Winter, we want to listen to more cats like him and help them find their forever homes. Your generous donation will directly support our vital services that allows us to support and care for the cats in North Wirral.

Did you know that 1,459 cats ended up Cats Protection's care in the North West, last in the last 12 months because they no longer had a safe and loving home?

Since Winter 2024, over 26,000 cats across the UK have ended up at Cats Protection

Over 3,000 of these were from unwanted litters.

Over 1,000 lost their homes because their owners sadly passed away.

Over 1,000 were given up due to the rising costs of care.

And over 1,000 came to us simply because their owners didn’t want them anymore.
