Its competition time!

To be in with the chance of winning a FieldDay Irish candle gift box, or a family fun day out, follow the instructions below to enter our Summer Free Prize competition, while helping to make a better life for cats.

Cats like Vicky, a 2-year-old stray who was rescued by Cats Protection after seeking shelter in a Derry resident's garden shed to have her litter of 4 kittens. Vicky's kittens were only a few days old at the time of rescue and could have fitted into the palm of your hand! Vicky's kittens were named Dragon, Huckleberry, Kiwi and Peaches.

Not long after coming into our care, Vicky and her kittens were found to be suffering from cat flu, which required veterinary treatment, as respiratory illness in kittens can be fatal if not cared for.

With veterinary care and lots of TLC from our staff and volunteers, Vicky and her kittens recovered from their illness. Vicky has taken up residence in the centre's maternity ward and is enjoying her newfound home comforts of a warm, safe environment to rear her kittens and regular nutritious meals. Vicky is a fantastic mum and is very attentive and protective of her kittens. 

Vicky and her kittens have been in our care for 8 weeks, and thanks to the care of our veterinary team and caring staff and volunteers, will soon be ready for rehoming.

Competition entries close on 29/08/2025.

Winners will be announced on Facebook on 30/08/2025 and will be contacted by phone or email.

1- Please ensure that you supply an email address otherwise we cannot get in touch with you if you win.

2- Please tick the box next to ‘I'm happy to share my contact details with Cats Protection’. This will ensure we are able to get in touch with any winners.

Simply make a donation of £1 per entry or £10 for ten entries and JustGiving will direct the funds to the charity. We will then enter your name and ticket/tickets numbers into our competition automatically; if you require a digital ticket, please let us know. You will receive an email if you are a winner.

Online entries cost £1 each. Every £1 donation = 1 entry. You can also get five entries for £5. Every £10 donation = 10 entries

**JustGiving has a minimum donation of £2. We cannot change this. Therefore minimum purchase online is two tickets**

Terms and conditions:

1. This is a free prize competition.

2. For free entry please post your name, address and contact details on a postcard, referencing 'Summer Free Prize Draw' to Cats Protection Northern Ireland Cat Centre, 270 Belfast Road, Dundonald, BT16 1UE.

3. The closing date for all entries is 29/08/2025. Any entries received after this date and time will be excluded from the draw.

4. A random draw will take place on 30/08/2025.

5. Winners will be notified on 02/09/2025. The winner’s name will be listed on our social media platforms.

6. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 21 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

7. All results are final. No correspondence will be entered into.

8. Individuals wishing to support the work of Cats Protection Northern Ireland Cat Centre can do so by making a donation on this page. All funds raised will go to Cats Protection. Registered Charity 203644 (England & Wales) SCO37711 (Scotland).

9. Gift Aid cannot be claimed on any donation in this competition.
