The annual ‘North London To Syria Winter Aid Collection’ (in support of One Nation) will take place on Saturday the 5th of September from 12.30pm to 6pm at The Old Fire Station (in Hackney).

This will be the 15th collection that we have been fortunate enough to be able to organise due to all of your continual and unwavering support.

Although Syria is now free, over 5.5 million people remain internally displaced (and reside in camps), with 1.6 refugees having too returned back home, hence they are still very much in need of our aid and support.

For those that are unable to attend the collection next month, you can donate towards purchasing rice and flour for the families, which will be loaded onto the very same container that will consist of all of the aid from the day itself.

I hope that with your kind support and generous donations that we can raise sufficient funds to purchase at least 1 pallet of rice and 1 pallet of flour.

A donation of £29 will enable you to purchase 1 bag of rice and 1 bag of flour, and in turn 40kg of staple, filling, and nutritious food for a family.

Please do donate if you are able to do so on this blessed day of Jumu’ah (which is of course the best day of the week to give in sadaqah), even if it is just the £2 (the minimum amount that can be donated on JustGiving), as no amount is ever too small when given purely for the sake of Allah(swt).

As we have now entered Rabi Al-Awwal, and with just six months until the blessed month of Ramadan, let us begin to increase in the sadaqah that we give in as of today, and donate and aid the people of not just anywhere in the world, but Bilad Ash-Sham, and provide them with that which they are in need of.

“O believers! Donate from the best of what you have earned and of what we have produced for you from the earth. Do not pick out worthless things for donation, which you yourselves would only accept with closed eyes.“ (2:267) 🩵
